Meet Your Guide

Sammy Rubin grew up in SoCal, and had no idea how to snowboard until she was 18. She learned to splitboard at 19, became obsessed, fast forward 12 yrs && here we are …
.
Based in the Sierra, she spends her days in the mountains, interacting with terrain, and exchanging energy and movement with her surroundings via bike, climbing, splitboarding, running, and more.
.
With a science background, and an education background, she brings a structured, patient and informative flow to her days teaching and guiding in the mtns. But have no fear, she can be as goofy as they come, and loves to get after it in her personal time.

Her list of qualifications and certifications is extensive. She’s worked as a splitboard guide, avalanche forecaster, avalanche educator, and ski patroller, and has some notable personal and guided descents around the world. She’s spent over a decade breaking trail in the mountains, and the industry, and is known for literally setting “a track of her own.”

Come spend some time in the mountains with Sammy this season!
