2 Day Ski/Splitboard Mountaineering Weekend - Eastern Sierra

$615.00

March 7 - 8, 2026

This 2 Day Course is meant to teach you safe and efficient methods to travel in steep, complex terrain. We’ll focus on movement mastery both uphill and downhill, decision making, mental strategies, risk and hazard assessment, and avalanche awareness.

Day 1: We learn the skills in benign terrain: self arrest, walking in crampons, when, where and how to set the bootpack, skiing and riding with an ice axe, skiing and riding in steep terrain, and more.

Day 2:We’re going on a tour and getting into terrain, but by way of an approachable progression. We’ll gradually increase steepness and exposure, and practice our skillset in real ski/splitboard mountaineering terrain.
