Women's Avalanche Rescue Course (Truckee)

  • Tracks of Her Own - Backcountry Guides Truckee, CA USA (map)

Avalanche Rescue Course

If you’re recreating in the mountains during winter, you need to know how to perform a rescue in case of an avalanche.

Like any skill, avalanche rescue techniques get rusty without regular practice — and when seconds matter, confidence and speed make all the difference.

Whether you’re brand new to the backcountry or a seasoned veteran, this one-day course is designed to help you build (or refresh) your rescue fundamentals through hands-on practice and real-world scenarios.

Come solo or bring your crew — everyone’s welcome!
