All Season Long

Women’s Ski/Splitboard Mentorship Program

What if this winter wasn’t just about the turns, but the transformation?

Backcountry skiing/splitboarding isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about staying curious, learning what we don’t know, and managing the unknown. It’s about building and growing through relationships with the mountains, our touring partners, and ourselves. This doesn’t happen in just one tour, or just one course. It happens over a season - over a lifetime.

If you’re ready to take the first step in committing to deeper growth and transformation this winter, in your mountain craft, your relationships, and in your self, our Season-Long Women’s Mentorship Program is for you.

This program is for those who are actively looking to ski in steep terrain (avalanche terrain), often. We’ll translate our skillset to meet steeper terrain and burlier objectives. We’ll go over complex decision making, risk assessment and hazard analysis for the self, and the group mindset. You’ll walk away from this course feeling like a competent member of an advanced backcountry crew, and a leader amongst those with less experience. Testimonials

“All I can say is this goes way beyond just learning how to tour. It changed me, in so many [great] ways, and I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much Sammy!” - Jen S.

“I learned so much from Sammy, and honestly from the other two gals in my crew. I really like Sammy’s teaching style - she teaches first, and then lets us lead, and is there to steer us when necessary. My biggest takeaway was learning how to speak up and share my ideas with my team!” - Lauren L.

FAQs

So, how does it work?

Each program will be limited to 4 spots. We’ll meet 5 times throughout the season in the Truckee/Tahoe backcountry on weekend dates that we agree to as a crew**. Each meet up will be guided by the specific principles shown in the curriculums above! In addition, we’ll have 3 1:1 zoom sessions each - we’ll pick a personal couple of goals and work towards them - be it skiing a certain line, overcoming fear, building a skill set, tour planning, communication, etc.

**What if the group can’t agree on availability?

Sammy will send out a tentative schedule of dates upon sign up. If a specific date doesn’t work for someone there is flexibility to join another group for a day if the curriculum is the same, or to work 1:1 with Sammy.

This sounds sick, but I’m not around all winter and can’t commit.

No worries, we’ve got plenty of courses and offerings this season - If you can’t commit to the season, check out a tour, weekend course, or reach out to Sammy directly to explore options.
