Season Long Mentorship Program
Become the backcountry partner everyone wants on their tour.
Ok, so you’ve learned the fundamentals.
You’ve been touring for a season, maybe 2, and you’ve taken some sort of Avalanche Level 1 Course where you learned the basics of snow science, terrain ID, and decision making. Awesome! But now what…
Our Season Long Mentorship Program, that’s what.
Practice the skills you’ve learned under the guidance of an experienced, femme+ mountain professional.
Form good habits, fix bad habits. Spend the season progressing, expanding and refining your skillset, and emerge as a reliable, self-sufficient, well rounded backcountry partner.
In this one of a kind program, we’ll spend 2 weekends (*option to include a 3rd) over the course of the season focused on the following:
Building competence, confidence, and community
Taking ownership of our backcountry experiences
what we want/value in a day in the BC
personal strengths and weaknesses
goal setting
realistics
Beginning the metamorphosis from backcountry user to backcountry leader.
Homework Assignments between sessions will help us maximize learning outcomes!
This Program is led by our Lead Guide, Sammy Rubin. She’s got a decade’s worth of experience working in the mountains, and is a Professional Avalanche Forecaster, AMGA Certified Splitboard Guide Candidate, and Certified Avalanche Instructor.
