Eastside Classics - Advanced Women’s Weekend

If you’ve ever driven CA Highway 395,

you’ve seen the dramatic peaks and wild geology of the Eastern Sierra. For experienced skiers and riders, it’s impossible not to “mind surf” those open alpine bowls and long granite hallways — imagining turns that drop thousands of feet from the high alpine to the desert floor. This terrain is serious — steep, exposed, and variable — but that’s what makes it so rewarding. If you’re an advanced skier or rider with backcountry touring experience, ready to take your mountain travel and decision-making to the next level, this weekend is for you.

This isn’t your typical ski or splitboard mountaineering course. It’s about mastering the how, when, and where of movement in steep, complex mountain terrain — and then applying those skills in real time, in a supportive environment, under the guidance of a professional female guide, and with other capable women.” - Lead Guide, Sammy Rubin

You’ll learn the fundamentals of ski and splitboard mountaineering, but this program goes so much deeper. It’s a comprehensive, hands-on progression designed to build confidence, awareness, and flow in big terrain.
