MEET YOUR MENTOR: Sammy
"It isn’t one size fits all, and it’s time we stopped teaching it that way."
Hi, I’m Sammy!
I’ve been splitboarding for over a decade, and to say it’s been a journey would be an understatement.
Early on, the outdoor industry tried to tell me that being a woman in the mountains was a disadvantage. But after ten-plus years of navigating high-alpine terrain, my biggest lessons have proven otherwise.
There are so many ways to enjoy the backcountry, and just as many ways to move through the mountains. Backcountry travel isn't one-size-fits-all, and it’s a shame that so many traditional guiding companies and educators still teach it like it is.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN SEASON-LONG MENTORSHIP
Spend the season with me, and we’ll ditch the rigid, cookie-cutter approach. I’m here to meet you exactly where you’re at.
Together, we will:
Build an Advanced Technical Skillset: Master snowpack analysis, route planning, skin-track efficiency, and terrain management on your own terms.
Take Ownership of Your Experience: Gain the confidence and decision-making independence to plan, lead, and execute the exact mountain adventures you want to have.
Grow in a Low-Ego, High-Support Environment: Ask questions freely, refine your technique, and push your boundaries alongside a dedicated mentor and community.
Whether you're looking to drop into bigger lines, sharpen your safety systems, or find your flow in complex terrain, I’m here to give you the tools to actually make it happen.
Looking forward to making turns with you so, so soon! 💕
