why train steep terrain with us?
“Steep skiing and riding in the backcountry isn't just about making turns on 40-degree slope. It’s about the technical ascent, precise decision-making, and risk management required to get to the top safely. We break down complex mountaineering skills into clear, manageable steps so you can push your limits without the ego or intimidation.”
— Sammy Rubin, Lead Guide & Founder

A NOTE FROM YOUR GUIDE:
WARNING:
Due to the wide variety of skills required to build up your mountaineering toolbox, this course is tons of fun, slightly chaotic (the structured, safe kind of chaos!), and full of high-alpine adventure.
We’ll master the technical movement and gear systems on Day 1, and then take them straight into real terrain on Day 2. It’s a hoot of a time!
